Text Me uses paintings as metatext for written texts, reducing visual to signs and promoting signs to images.

The works are the result of close cooperation between Marje Murusalu and Eleriin Ello. They talk about the perception of visual conceptual art and aims to diminish the boundaries between the artwork and the descriptive texts that are typically added to explain it. The texts that accompany the painting with the formal "description of concept" may therefore gain even a more important role than the artwork itself, crossing to the line to the room that traditionally belongs to the artwork. In addition, "Text Me" playfully analyses the roles of the artist, the critic and the audience.
