This project started in the New York City, where people are used to disposing their home interior by rather recklessly leaving their dispensable belongings on the sidewalks. Having been brought up in an environment, where the elder generation is used to stack their things to attics or cellars and the younger ones at least make an effort to pack and store their property in a more-or-less orderly manner, it seemed a bit unexpected that someone would leave their beloved old musical instrument or other items with possible sentimental value to garbage. For the locals however, it seemed rather strange to see that someone would take interest in the garbage on the street and photograph it. The Room illustrates the environment, in which different generations and peoples were brought up.
