Safety Box 2007-2009
Safety Box – a black box, that has been integrated to a manipulative environment as a protective shell.
In the Safety Box, people could isolate themselves from the outside influences. On the wall there was a message, a mantra to remind the subject – "I will not be manipulated".
It was meant to be a solution for the overwhelming texts in general, but specifically the ones that usually appear in gallery spaces.
On the other hand it itself contained a text - "I will not be manipulated"
According to my research, most people in Western society consider free speech and the ability to express themselves to be more valuable than being at mental ease.
There is a small step from being comfortable to ignorance.
Any kind of system or manifest survives only if the society is tolerant enought to accept it.
Any kind of system or manifest will collapse, when there is no more tolerance to it
... prospers when there is acceptance
... and controls, when there is ignorance.
